SUITE FOR STRING QUARTET

Composing this suite was my first musical achievement after moving to San Francisco and beginning my studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The opening movement, I. Overture, would become the overture to this new major life experience of moving from the suburbs of Orange County to the rapidly evolving culture hub of San Francisco. In reflection, the suite expresses the tremendous array of emotions which I experienced beginning a new chapter of​ ​my​ ​life,​ ​at​ ​the​ ​age​ ​of​ ​seventeen.
