Time, Permanence, Decay, & Humanity (02/06/25)

In my continued exploration of art, I remain devoted to centering humanity—not just as subject, but as essence. Every stroke, every texture, every material I choose serves as a conduit for the expression of universal existence itself. I find inspiration in the Renaissance belief that humanity stands at the center of the universe, as a reflection of creation, an idea that pulses through my work as I study the human form, not as a mere physical structure, but as a vessel of thought, memory, and emotion.

Whether through the luminous layering of paint, the weight of texture, or the interplay of light and shadow, I aim to capture the depth of what it means to be—to exist, to feel, to reach outward and inward all at once. This is not just an artistic pursuit; it is an ongoing conversation with time, with history, and with the fundamental essence of who we are as humans.

Within humanity lies the expression of time, as it relates to us, as well as our interaction with nature and our subjectivity to the decay of time.
