Anatolian Dance for Violin, Cello, & Piano

As a study into non-western musical tradition, Anatolian Dance is a fusion of undeniably Western musical idioms with those of Turkish classical music. The dance makes reference to the styles of major European composers such as Igor Stravinsky, and at times maybe even to Claude Debussy. Simultaneously, Anatolian Dance emulates the lively rhythmic and melody-centric characteristics of the composer Dimitrie Cantemir, a Moldavian who spent much of his life as a subject of the Ottoman Empire, which greatly influenced his music.
